Course Overview
Strong partnerships with families are essential for supporting young children's development and well-being. This Lecture explores how Motivational Interviewing (MI) principles can strengthen communication and collaboration between professionals and families. Presenters examine common barriers that influence family partnerships and highlight strategies that help practitioners approach challenging conversations with curiosity, empathy, and shared decision-making. The presentation demonstrates how MI-informed communication techniques can promote stronger relationships and more collaborative partnerships with families.
