Course Overview
Scaling infant and early childhood mental health consultation requires strong leadership, cross-sector collaboration, and implementation supports that help systems sustain high-quality practice. This Lecture highlights the role of infant and early childhood mental health leaders in supporting the statewide implementation of consultation services. Presenters share lessons from the Oregon Infant Mental Health Association’s work providing implementation support and technical assistance to expand IECMH consultation. The presentation explores strategies that strengthen workforce development, support cross-sector collaboration, and address racial disparities in early childhood suspension and expulsion practices while advancing sustainable consultation systems.
