Course Overview
Access to high-quality mental health assessment in the earliest years is essential for supporting children and families, yet many communities continue to face workforce and training gaps. This Lecture presents the development and early outcomes of an eight-month Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Assessment Practices Learning Collaborative designed to strengthen professional competencies and expand access to comprehensive assessment. Presenters describe the collaborative's curriculum, implementation strategies, and preliminary outcomes while exploring how similar workforce development models may support equitable access to early childhood mental health assessment across communities.
Presenters: Mary Wise-Kriplani, LCSW, PhD, Center for Child & Family Health; Naomi Davis, PhD, Duke University; and Crystal Pellom, MA, LCMHC, Changent
