Overview
The ZERO TO THREE Competencies for Prenatal to Age 5 (P-5) Professionals™ are designed to help move the early childhood field toward a cross-sector approach to service delivery. By identifying the common knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for professionals working with the prenatal-to-age-5 population, we are building a shared understanding of what it takes to help young children succeed.
Each of the P-5 Competency domains are equally important, and they build upon and reinforce one another:

Training Descriptions

- The P-5 Virtual Program is composed of 3 virtual or in-person events that orient participants and focus on application in a learning community, and an online tool and course for self-paced study and reflection. (through group contracts)
- The P-5 Online Course is asynchronous and consists of eight 1-hour modules that explore the eight P-5 competency domains. The course enhances understanding and practice of existing discipline-specific competencies by encouraging cross-sector coordination and collaboration on behalf of the prenatal to age 5 population. (through group contracts)
- State and Organizational-level Licenses (through group contracts)
