This Micro-ToT prepares early childhood professional development (PD) specialists to deliver Area 2: Supporting Cognitive Development, of the ZERO TO THREE Critical Competencies curriculum (i.e., 12 hours of Critical Competencies professional development). The Micro-ToT also provides information and support for PD specialists and other adult educators who wish to become a ZERO TO THREE Approved Trainer: Critical Competencies, Area 2. Upon completion of the ToT, ZERO TO THREE approved trainers are permitted to synchronously deliver the Area 2 Critical Competencies Course curriculum virtually, in synchronous virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats, as originally designed.

Completion of the Training-of-Trainer events only grants you eligibility to apply for Badging. You will need to apply and submit all Badging requirements stated in the Badged Trainer Overview 14 calendar days after attending the ToT. You are not considered Badged until you receive your ZERO TO THREE Badge in your eLearn Dashboard.

Registration for the Training-of-Trainers event includes a print copy of the Area 2 Trainer Manual. Please allow 1-2 weeks for shipping. You will also receive access to a secure PDF of Area 2 Trainer Manual at the start of the training.

Participant Manuals are required for participants in any Critical Competencies training delivered by ZERO TO THREE certified and badged trainers. Trainers have the options to purchase the manuals for their training attendees or let attendees purchase the manuals through ZERO TO THREE. Bulk discounts are available.”
